Senator Orrin Hatch Serves As Key Note for Mountain View District Eagle Banquet

On February 18, 2010, the Mountain View District held it’s annual Eagle Recognition Night on Thursday, February 18. The District recognized 71 Eagle Scout recipients and welcomed Senator Orrin Hatch as the keynote speaker. The event was held at Ogden’s Union Station. Local businesspeople sponsored each Eagle Scout. Families and supporters of each Eagle Scout also attended.

Senator Hatch noted that many of the most influential people he has associated with have obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. He shared some of his experiences as a public servant. The Senator ended his comments commending the Boy Scouts of America for it’s 100 year anniversary, and encouraged all in attendance to remember this special year of celebration.

The Mountain View District is one of 18 districts within the Trapper Trails Council.
